What do you get when you add 35 excitable children, a Paw Patrol theme and copious amounts of food, fun and games?…a memorable Kids HQ Party of course!
Elliott turning 5 was a big deal. The hugest deal. Because (in his words) ‘When I am 5, I can do everything because I am 5‘. Bless him. Everything clearly meant a fun filled party with all of his best friends, Paw Patrol everything, lots of party games and food of the sugar induced variety – it is a party after all! Kids HQ was a no-brainer for us and here’s why..
☆ The Attention To Detail
Once we had decided to hold Elliott’s Birthday Party at Kids HQ we were assigned the lovely Amna as our dedicated party planner and host on the day. She was fantastic and always responsive, replying to my mass of What’s Apps when I couldn’t decide on party bag favours, or nibbles for the parents. The Paw Patrol theme was non-negotiable (by the birthday boy of course) and I can honestly say when we walked into the party room on the big day, we were all blown away by how fabulous it looked, full of colour with themed touches throughout. I had one very happy little boy.
☆ The Professionalism
All of the staff at Kids HQ are highly professional and it’s very clear they have been trained effectively to deal with a room full of excited mini ones! The structure of the party was well organised with enough time given in each area; the soft play with adventure maze where they could run wild, the games room with an organised selection of fun party games, and the eating area where after all of the excitement there were plenty of hungry little tummies – it all flowed like clockwork and I had very little to do, always a bonus!
☆ The Extras
The great thing about a Kids HQ party is that you can tailor it to suit your exact needs. I had arranged a Birthday Cake externally and there was no fee to bring it along (which believe it or not does exist in some venues). Food packages can be tailored to your requests along with party bags, or if you are super organised (unlike I was) you can bring your own. There are also optional extras such as balloon bending, face painting and pinatas. I opted for the additional photographer who took hundreds of lovely shots featured in this post. He spent the duration of the party being completely proactive and making sure everyone got snapped. Again this saved me a job scrambling through the soft play(!) and after a few iPhone clicks I could relax knowing I would receive all of the images on a disc as a lovely memory of the party for only AED 200.

☆ The Cafe
This faces on to the soft play area so whether you are attending a party or letting the little ones run wild for an hour, you can enjoy a coffee while being able to keep an eye on them. There is a great variety of food and drinks and for parties you can choose to open a tab and pick from a variety of nibbles for parents too.
☆ The Location
I personally find Kids HQ to be well located right in the middle of town, so whether you’re Downtown or in the Marina, it’s half way between each and accessible from both Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. There is also plenty of parking outside, particularly on a weekend.
Thank you to Kids HQ for making Elliott’s Paw Patrol party an unforgettable one! They certainly took the stress out of organising the big day for me and nothing was too much trouble. With packages starting from AED110 per child, if you are looking for a well organised venue with total flexibility, I would highly recommend the lovely team at Kids HQ. With a string of well deserved awards under their belt (most recently Time Out Soft Play of the Year 2016) this only echoes my thoughts on Kids HQ.
